back

No news is good news. That is what they say and that is why we were away for so long. In the meantime a lot of things happened. We have been to Patmos with Xmas, changed house from Rijswijk to The Hague and now preparing for New York. Panormitis is doing great, although he misses the island and its people. But we try to keep him doing all sort of things and taking him out as much as he can handle. At this very moment he and Sophia are playing a game of Abalone and are having a lot of laughs. Sophia is doing better and is getting used to the Dutch school system. She just finished this week with pre-exams and is doing well. Daphne was with us last weekend and is busy, busy, at her college. Thanks God she has a lot of support of her friends there, because it is not easy on her ( and us ) to be away from us. We knew and know that we have two wonderful girls, they really deal well with the situation. We are extremely proud to call them our daughters.

Yes, Panormitis is going to be the "nonos" (godfather ) of Rania and Peros Kamitisis daughter, Lydia. And they happen to live in NY. He is very proud to become the "koumbaros" of these two loveley friends, who asked me for this already somewhere in November last year. I was first full of doubts if he would be up to it, but he is reacting so well on the chemo therapy and he was sooo excited the moment I asked him about baptizing Lydia. Having two wonderful daughters ourselves we are looking forward to introduce "our" third daughter to you soon.
As Rania, and her whole family, always have tremendous good ideas, it was her idea to arrange a show for Panormitis at the same time. She is doing a great job, I only hope that she still has some time to arrange for the baptize...??? She is running up and down to the printer and arranging another million things to make this a real happening. I will download the press release they wrote for Panormitis, so you can have an idea. Who ever lives near/in NY or has friends that they might appreciate to see his photographs, please do spread the word around. We would like to see a lot of people in the gallery, to make it a success for him.

we will keep you informed,

love to all of you,
Panormitis, Hetty, Daphne and Sophia
